About Enlighten
We make brands. We make films. We make audiences.
Story
Enlighten began as a film society started by a student who wanted the classics back on the big screen. Farhan Akhtar launched it; Brooke Bond Taj Mahal backed it; it became India's largest film society. Along the way we built a home-video label for world cinema, distributed independent Indian film, ran cinemas and festivals, ran Tata Sky World Screen, produced films, and opened a brand studio. Today it is one company with three practices, Brand Studio, Labs and Experiences, and one aim: to bring people and great work together.
What we believe
- Great films deserve a big screen and a full room.
- Brands belong inside culture, not around it.
- New tools (AI, VR, streaming) matter only when they serve the story.
